Refurbishing schools

Kabilash: a major step forward in water rehabilitation

Kumbeshwar School Educational Support and Calendar Project

The project, carried out in partnership with CDFN and Ram Thapaliya, included a drawing competition at Kumbeshwar Secondary School. Although this school was damaged by an earthquake, its learning conditions remain satisfactory. Because of the Indian border blockade, which increases transport costs, the school was chosen because of its proximity to Kathmandu, making it easier to distribute gifts to the children. The aid focused on educational materials such as educational posters, world maps and CD players, thanks to donations received.

Shree Shanti Buddha School

Reconstruction after the 2015 earthquake

In partnership with Ammar Raj Guni and the CDFN, and thanks to donations received, a project to rebuild the Shree Shanti Buddha primary school has been launched. This school, which is essential for the education of children from several villages, needs a complete overhaul of its main building to ensure a safe and sustainable environment in an earthquake-prone area.

The project includes the supply of quality building materials (wooden beams, sheet metal, etc.) and equipment to refurbish the classrooms. With the involvement of the local community and our partners, the school will soon be able to resume its educational activities. This project is made possible by your donations, which provide the children with a safe space in which to learn and grow. Thank you for your support.

Bageswari School - Sindulpachowk

Reconstruction after the 2015 earthquake

The Bageswari school in Sindupalchowk was our second project with CDFN, following the destruction caused by the 2015 earthquake. The school, which catered for pupils from classes one to eight, saw its main building destroyed, forcing the children to study in precarious shelters.

In response to this emergency, a temporary building was constructed with a budget of €2,000, covering the purchase of wooden panels, corrugated sheets and supplies. Despite the logistical challenges posed by the remote location and the cost of petrol, the project was monitored thanks to regular photos supplied by our local partners.

Shree Amar School - Nuwakot

Reconstruction after the 2015 earthquake

The Shree Amar school in Nuwakot, severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake, embodies resilience and solidarity. Thanks to the support of the community and donors, it has been rebuilt, modernised and extended. It now offers spacious classrooms, science facilities, reading areas and sports facilities, welcoming more pupils in a safe environment conducive to learning.
