💙 Helping Hands: even injured, the President remains committed to helping children

🩹 A summer like no other

The summer of 2025 brought an unexpected challenge to Helping Hands. Even injured, the Helping Hands President remains committed to the children, despite an accident that required surgery and a period of immobilisation. This situation has disrupted the organisation of the association but has not slowed its mission to support the most vulnerable.

🚧 Braking... but not stopping

Some activities have had to be reorganised. Travel and physical meetings have been limited. Publications have been less frequent. However, the motivation to pursue the projects has remained intact.

Thanks to regular communication with local partners and the increased use of digital tools, Helping Hands has maintained its momentum.

💪 Quick to adapt

During her convalescence, Luciana adapted her working methods to stay fully engaged in the mission.

She was able to :

  • Remote coordination of projects in Nepal and the Philippines

  • 📢 Update available on the official website helpinghands.fr

  • 🤝 Maintaining the link with volunteers, donors and partners

This adaptation proved that a humanitarian mission can continue to move forward even in times of constraint.

🌱 The Philippines: reaching the hinterland

In the Philippines, Helping Hands is preparing for the future by exploratory visit in the hinterland. The aim is to meet other rural schools and gain a better understanding of their needs.

This mission will help define priorities and identify projects that can be implemented according to available resources.

🎓 Nepal: support for Rojesh and the two youngest children

In Nepal, Helping Hands focuses on three children:

  • Rojesh, for whom the association has so far covered the full cost of schooling (enrolment, uniforms, supplies, meals)

  • Two younger children, closely supported to ensure their education and well-being

This personalised support ensures that every action of Helping Hands has a tangible impact on the children's lives.

🌟 What Helping Hands has learned during this period

This experience shows that humanitarian commitment is not defined solely by physical presence. Determination, coordination, and solidarity are what keep us moving forward.

It also shows that when obstacles arise, collective strength ensures the mission carries on.
