Review and new initiatives for children<\/h2>\n

In September 2024, for the first time<\/strong>I was accompanied during my humanitarian mission in Nepal<\/strong>. Emmanuel<\/strong>a loyal supporter of Helping Hands<\/strong>made this trip with me. Together, we were able to see the impact of the actions we have been taking for several years. The trip had several aims: monitoring sponsored children<\/strong>to meet our local partners and respond to emergencies caused by the recent floods.<\/p>\n

\"Roja<\/p>\n

1. Essential follow-up for our two godchildren<\/h2>\n

From 10 years<\/strong>we support Roja and Rojesh<\/strong> in their school careers. This year, thanks to the presence ofEmmanuel<\/strong>this humanitarian mission in Nepal<\/strong> took on an even greater dimension. Together, we met their teachers and took the time to assess their progress.<\/p>\n

Rojesh, a brilliant student with great potential<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The headmaster of his school gave us some excellent news: Rojesh is top of his class<\/strong>. Thanks to his outstanding results, he will be able to continue the studies of your choice<\/strong>. It was a particularly moving moment for Emmanuel and I<\/strong>because we've realised the extent to which our commitment changes lives.<\/p>\n

Roja and her dream of studying in France<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From his side, Roja tells us about her dream of studying in France<\/strong>. To help her in this process, we have registered her with l'Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de Katmandou<\/a><\/strong> so that she can start learning French.<\/p>\n

At the same time, as soon as we got back to France, I took the necessary steps to ensure that she could go to university. Roja will have to take a DUEF (University Diploma in French Studies)<\/a><\/strong> at the University of Caen. This programme will enable her to reach level B2, which is essential if she is to continue her higher education studies.<\/p>\n

2. A demanding but essential visit to the Shree Amar school<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During this humanitarian mission in Nepal<\/strong>, Emmanuel<\/strong> also had a powerful experience when she travelled to Shree Amar School<\/strong> with Bashudev Thapaliya<\/strong>. However, the visit did not go smoothly. Because of the heavy flooding<\/strong>They had to walk for several hours on unstable ground. It was a real challenge<\/strong>But Emmanuel insisted on going all the way to see the children's learning conditions for himself.<\/p>\n

Finally, after that long walk, Emmanuel was able to hand over a laptop to the headmaster<\/strong>. He had brought this equipment from France specifically to improve the learning of the pupils. It was a particularly powerful moment, because it was the first time that such a large donation had been made directly on site<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. The urgent need for new sponsorships after the floods<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During this humanitarian mission in Nepal<\/strong>We also found Ammar Raj Guni<\/strong>our local partner. He informed us of an alarming situation: two children have lost their homes to flooding<\/strong>. Faced with this disaster, we immediately decided to set up a sponsorship programme. Thanks to the presence of Emmanuel<\/strong>We were able to discuss possible solutions in detail with the families concerned.<\/p>\n

4. Conclusion: a journey full of lessons<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Thanks to this humanitarian mission in Nepal<\/strong>we were able to :<\/p>\n

\u2705 Encouraging Roja to continue her studies in France.<\/strong>
\n\u2705 Providing a computer for the Shree Amar school.<\/strong>
\n\u2705 Initiating the sponsorship of two children affected by the floods.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This trip has shown us once again how essential our action is. However, there are still a lot to do<\/strong> to improve living conditions for local children.<\/p>\n
